We had a layover from Chicago to Phoenix before we arrived in San Francisco. An hour layover is really about 15 minutes in real time…

Chicago Workspace 01/ Leo Burnett Worldwide
Leo Burnett Chicago is the headquarters of Leo Burnett Worldwide. Employees of Leo Burnett like to refer to the father of their company as “Uncle Leo”. Everyone was very welcoming. Leo is an extremely large company and even though they are defiantly a corporate company, they do a great job of bringing the down-to-earth personality to the table.
Chicago Eats 04/ RPM
Oh hey! Fortunate for us we had the opportunity to visit the hot new Italian restaurant and bar in Chicago. Our friend Monica’s bro lives in the city where he works in the audio engineering industry. The man knows whats hott! Check it out. We had the chance to dine with Giuliana and Bill from the style channel.
Chicago Eats 03/ Billy Goat Tavern
Billy Goat Tavern is as epic as their wood paneling. If you’re up for cheap hearty eats with some plain talk and a nice swig of beer don’t be a stranger.
Chicago Outing 02/ Magnificent Mile
The Magnificent Mile is a mile of endless, drooling shopping. We couldn’t be so close and at least check out the new spring trends. There are tons of stores, all huge and all busy. If you’re just planning on spending a whole day or a few days shopping this is great, we only went for a little while so we couldn’t cover it all. Although that much shopping might get a little overwhelming!
Chicago Outing 01/ Chinatown
Welcome to Chinatown! It’s located on the south side of the city, a bit of a walk but not too bad. There’s quite a few gift shops, all with a similar selection, along with many restaurants as well. It wasn’t too busy on a Monday afternoon but we’re guessing it gets a bit busier on weekends, especially last week when the parade took place. It was a different experience and a fun thing to do if you’re looking for something to occupy time in Chicago.
Chicago Eats 02/ Yolk
Breakfaaaassst fooddddd!!! Who doesn’t love breakfast food any time of the day? We made the very far (400 ft) walk from the hotel to Yolk. In fairness to us, we planned on stopping by here for breakfast and the fact that it ended up being so close was an awesome coincidence! A deliciously awesome coincidence.
Chicago Eats 01 / Gino’s East
oh shit it’s deep dish! Welcome to Gino’s East, Chicago’s #1 deep dish and first location. Kelsey, Monica (our GD friend from CCS as well) and I got the veggie deep dish. Monica had to deal with our vegetarianess… It was delicious! Like they say… it was worth the wait!
