Chicago Outing 02/ Magnificent Mile

The Magnificent Mile is a mile of endless, drooling shopping. We couldn’t be so close and at least check out the new spring trends. There are tons of stores, all huge and all busy. If you’re just planning on spending a whole day or a few days shopping this is great, we only went for a little while so we couldn’t cover it all. Although that much shopping might get a little overwhelming!

Chicago Outing 01/ Chinatown

Welcome to Chinatown! It’s  located on the south side of the city, a bit of a walk but not too bad. There’s quite a few gift shops, all with a similar selection, along with many restaurants as well. It wasn’t too busy on a Monday afternoon but we’re guessing it gets a bit busier on weekends, especially last week when the parade took place. It was a different experience and a fun thing to do if you’re looking for something to occupy time in Chicago.

Breakfaaaassst fooddddd!!! Who doesn’t love breakfast food any time of the day? We made the very far (400 ft) walk from the hotel to Yolk. In fairness to us, we planned on stopping by here for breakfast and the fact that it ended up being so close was an awesome coincidence! A deliciously awesome coincidence.

Chicago Workspace 01/ NATO Protest

Everyone needs a well-spoken leader to keep your message relevant. The protesters were congregated into separate groups of messaging. There were people generally against NATO, people fighting for education, food, racism, gay rights and people who just said they didn’t give a f@*$. Pick a message. Have an idea of how to take action, even if it is just a baby step…and sell it!
