New York City Workspace 05/ Droga5

Droga5 is an independent advertising agency. They were named agency of the year in 2011. We met some really great people at Droga. And we are picky when it comes to liking people.

The New York office is very New York. Clean design, white walls, exposed brick…

Grab a seat on this worn-in mahogany leather couch, while you’re waiting.

This agency has a fully stocked kitchen. Toast your toast or grab a bowl of cereal. Droga5 has a daily dinner for their employees.

Droga5 is built on innovation. Innovative dinner menus. Never eat leftovers again!!

Working hard, wearing helmets and oh my look at those sandals! At least he didn’t wear socks. Droga5 has an open floor concept. Everyone is talking, you can hear the droning conversations all around you. (they are in the midst of happy hour) Their computers are quite close to one and other. It appears that if you didn’t like your co-workers, you could grow to appreciate some of their attributes in this work environment.

Nick and David are an art director, writer team from The Creative Circus. They began as interns and were hired on as a team.

They were known as the “twin-terns” for dressing alike. They grew to accept the name and even branded themselves as the “twin-terns”. Check out the side-project that got them noticed: http://gradmen.com/

Droga 5 is what you would expect a New York agency to feel like: pretty clean, using the maximum amount of space and most people are dressed fairly well. Everyone seemed to be enjoying happy hour while working diligently. There are a lot of very talented people here, they were very welcoming and have some awesome work to show for all their long hours.

As you can see, the office is pretty narrow. But, if you sat here, the kitchen could be your focal point.

When we stopped in at Droga, they were in the midst of happy hour. There were drinks, pool, more drinking and photo-comping.
